Bunker Blues

Bunker Blues

Documentary by Big River Films

Curious Monkey’s (then Theatre Auracaria) debut production Bunker Blues is set in a WWII bunker in Kenton on 15 August 1940 – a little known but momentous day in Newcastle’s history. Join the ladies in blue as they reveal the secrets of the plotting room, the barracks and the dance halls too.

This poignant, intimate and uplifting piece is based on true stories interwoven with heartwarming live vocal harmonies and vibrant choreography.

Sshhh… This is strictly confidential. Bunker 13 runs like a well-oiled machine and you are the newest recruits. Remember: Loose lips sink ships, walls have ears and she is not really your best friend. What What!

The debut tour of Bunker Blues opened at Live Theatre to commemorate remembrance Sunday on 9th and 10th November 2012, Mera Hall on 15th and 16th November and Caowgate Community Centre on 22nd and 23rd.  The wonderful cast for this production were: Eva Quinn, Jane Wade and Charlotte Baker.
